Trapunt-no

Well, it's Friday again, and again, I can't show you what I'm working on! I cannot wait until Sunday to reveal my H2H quilt!!!

What I can tell you and show you is I experimented with Trapunto for the first time! So. Much. Fun.

I need new scissors, though. Mine are quite big and maybe not so sharp any more. There's a few holes in the quilt... but that's okay, I covered them up like it never even happened!
That's my thumb... through the border of the quilt! Oops!

Here is a little sneak peak of the trapunto piece to this quilt. The letters I and T hmmmm what does it spell!?!?!?!

So I just need to bind off this mystery quilt and it will be all done! I'll finish the binding this evening while watching Once Upon a Time on Netflix. If you like fantasy, I highly recommend it! It's kind of my new obsession!!!

Check back Sunday for photos of this mystery quilt as well as my H2H quilt!

I will also be posting later with the details of my giveaway. As you know, my quilt shop is opening June 17th and I'm having a two week long online party starting TODAY! Horray! There's some pretty awesome stuff to be won, but I haven't finished making it yet, so photos will be delayed, sorry!

Quilt on,
Hoppi

    1. I just placed a piece of fabric between the top and the batting after clipping the trapunto and then I stippled the snot out of it! LOL. It looks pretty good though!

  2. Cool! Cant wait to see it. I've got a pile of fabric sitting on the cutting table waiting for me to try this technique. I'm not sure how it will go over, but I'm looking forward to it.

Glad you could fix the hole, you're a rock star!

(by the by - it seems as if blogger replies are no longer coming to my inbox from other blogger's blogs. I'm sad about that, but it seems to be the nature of the google+ beast. I'll try to be good about checking back.)

    1. I tried to reply to this on your google+, but I still don't get it. Is it like facebook? Can I post on your "wall"???? I'm confused :/

Trapunto is SO MUCH FUN. But make sure you have really awesome sharp scissors... you're going to have a blast, and the end result is breathtaking!

    2. I dont get it either.... When I had a "blogger" account I would get emails from updates from other people's blogs. Now they switched me to google+ and there's no more notifications unless it is on my blog, which stinks. I'll figure it out eventually, I hope!

I'm looking forward to seeing it Sunday.. I'll be sure to check in just for that :D
